While I sus out the link and work on exactly how I want to respond to this blog I thought you would like to all have a laugh at it for being right there is hatred towards Gwen yet getting it so wrong about the reasons and then being a bit derogatory and condescending about those of us who do hate her.
It also links to us
As for me my failure in connecting to Gwen is not because she is female or has a gap in her teeth. My problem is she offers me nothing: She is too much of a joke, she is more immortal than Jack, she does not have to pay consequences for her actions, she has no respect for any one around her and her ploys at being sympathetic comes off more like coddling and condescending and for some one who is supposed to be the POV it is classic fail.
Also just because I feel this way about Gwen doesn’t mean I feel this way about all female characters. As I like the other example given (River Song) and I like Tosh because she was incredibly smart and sexy as did I Swanson from 'The Keep Killing Suzie' She was competent and sexy …or even Suzie herself even though she was a bit insane what she did have was a depth that Gwen has never shown. So it is not about some misogynistic or perpetuating hatred toward female characters it just that my preferences is towards smart and sexy and womanly characters who have moral compass that points north and who also dont come off like a Mary Sue
